Information about the Los Angeles band Silversun Pickups

Tuesday, February 03, 2004

So far, Silversun Pickups have not released many songs. As far as I know, this is their discography as of today:

- "Kissing Families" - from a split 7" with L.A. band Pine Marten, on Sea Level Records.

- "Booksmart Devils" - from a compilation CD that came free with a 'zine called "Debaser."

- Sunset Junction demos CD-R
(a CD made and sold at the Sunset Junction street fair, where they played with a bunch of other good local Los Angeles bands like Rilo Kiley and Moving Units).
- "Dream Tempo at 119"
- "The Fuzz"
- "Well Thought Out Twinkles"
- "Kissing Families"
- "Lazy Eye"

- "Rusty Wheel" - Fold Compliation CD (all bands that have played the Fold club in L.A.)

Someone told me that they had recorded demos of 18 songs, and each copy of the Sunset Junction CD-R had a different bonus track on it taken from those sessions. After I heard that, though, I went back and checked and my copy that I bought that day doesn't have a bonus track.

Hopefully they will come out with an album someday soon.

Oh, yeah... I don't know how this blog thing works. If you want to e-mail me, if you know more info I could post here, I am at fiestasandsiestas@yahoo.com.

I just want this site to be a clearinghouse of info about the band for people who are curious because I like them a lot. Thanks.
